I have passed the JLPT Level 3 years ago and want to pass level 2 in the near future. This page is dedicated to my study of Japanese and also a place to keep track of what books I have read. I hope to be able to target specific series and books that I like and then improve my reading levels over time. Here goes!

Spaced Repetition Software
My challeng is to use iKnow! on the train ride home everyday and study 20 items or more. I used to select the specific list of 200 words that I was studying, but now I am trusting the software to decide what items need reveiwing first. My best study streak was 98 days so I am hoping to get a study streak of 100 days next of continious study. UPDATE: I am turning off the sound on iKnow! so I am forced to read the sentences for myself. I do have to turn up the volume for the audio prompted items, but this seems to be better than listening to all the audio prompts.
Extensive Reading in Japanese
Here is the list of books that I have read. The rules of the challenge are that all books have to be from the Nerima Public library. I have to read a minimum of one book a week.
UPDATE: Finding the same series is hard since they are often out, but I should go back and search the library again. Also shorter books are better than long! The 小さなスプーンおばさん was 161 pages! I will read on the train if my iKnow! lists are all caught up.
UPDATE: Found some old books on a take for free shelf. Turns out they were perfect for my reading level and big! Currently doing two pages a day in the 日本童話宝玉選. Nothing beats old school books (1961). Note, also on Yahoo Auctions! Ha!
